At Charterhouse Malaysia we recognise that human intelligence is broad. It is not limited just to academic intelligence but also includes social and emotional intelligence. It includes the ability to think deeply and evaluate that thinking, to grasp new situations quickly and, most importantly, to be able to assess personal abilities. Our unique Spectra Smarts programme aims to develop a student’s full range of potential, ensuring that they are well equipped to make their mark in the world.
Our students are encouraged to think and learn independently by engaging in projects in the local community. By devising innovative solutions to social issues, they not only build confidence and leadership skills, but also a deeper sense of social responsibility.
The admissions process reflects the minimum academic standard, life experience and personal characteristics that will form the foundation of a successful Charterhouse Malaysia student.
A Charterhouse Malaysia student is one who can demonstrate high academic achievement coupled with a history of commitment to personal growth, service of others, student leadership, involvement in the life of the school and their community and the potential to be transformative. Applicants must demonstrate their potential to study, create and inspire and that they share the Charterhouse personality traits of perseverance, responsibility, moral courage, open-mindedness and kindness.
Places at Charterhouse Malaysia are limited and highly sought after. Academic standards are exceptionally high and it is anticipated that most students would be able to demonstrate a history of excellence in their national or international examinations. The minimum spread of results would be 6 grade Bs at IGCSE, SPM or equivalent and should include the subjects they wish to study at A-Level or a related discipline.
All students are chosen on merit, regardless of nationality, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or religion.
