Who Should Apply? A Charterhouse Malaysia student is one who can demonstrate high academic achievement coupled with a history of commitment to personal growth, service of others, student leadership, involvement in the life of the school and their community and the potential to be transformative. Applicants must demonstrate their potential to study, create and inspire and that they share the Charterhouse personality traits of perseverance, responsibility, moral courage, open-mindedness and kindness.
Places at Charterhouse Malaysia are limited and highly sought after. Academic standards are exceptionally high and it is anticipated that most students would be able to demonstrate a history of excellence in their national or international examinations. The minimum spread of results would be 6 grade Bs at IGCSE, SPM or equivalent and should include the subjects they wish to study at A-Level or a related discipline. However, we are committed to accepting students who might fall short of this academic criteria, if they can demonstrate exceptional untapped potential.

The following schedule of fees is for the Academic Year 2021/2022.
Application fee is payable upon submission of the Application Form.
The Fee is payable by cash, credit card, bank transfer or cheque
The fee is applicable only once for each applicant. If a candidate is unsuccessful at first but wishes to reapply, the Application Fee will not be charged again.
The Application Fee is non-refundable.
The Registration Fee is RM 5,000.
The applicant’s place in the School is confirmed once the School is in receipt of the duly signed Letter of Acceptance and Registration Fee.
The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
A Refundable Deposit of RM 5,000 is payable together with the Tuition Fee when a student is enrolled.
This fee is refunded upon the provision of a full term’s notice of withdrawal or the student’s graduation from the School.
Failure to provide a full term’s notice will result in the Refundable Deposit being forfeited.
This fee will also be refunded if the School requires a student to leave for reasons other than disciplinary.
Tuition Fee (Academic Year 2021/2022)
Tuition Fees are payable before the start of each term.
There are 3 terms per academic year.
Late payment (15 days or more after the start of term) incurs an interest penalty of 1.5% per month.
Payment of Fees in Instalments
Tuition fees are to be paid in 3 instalments (there are 3 Terms per year) each year and prior to the start of the respective Term.
With prior agreement with the Headteacher it is possible to pay the annual fee in 9 Monthly instalments. This would commence on the 1st August with the final payment on the 1st April. A service charge of RM 1,200 will be levied (also payable over 9 months).
Monthly Fees would be RM 10,800 over 9 months.
Early payment discount
There is a discount of 5% for the lump sum payment of the full annual fee paid prior to the 1st day of the academic year.
There is a 5% and 10% discount for the 2nd and 3rd children respectively attending the school simultaneously.
International Student Visa
A fee of RM 2,000 is payable for new international student visa applications and a fee of RM 1,000 is payable for visa renewals.
External examination charges, trips, category ‘B’ CCAs, transportation and uniforms are not included in the Tuition Fee. They are at an additional cost and will be invoiced as appropriate.
