Crafted with meticulous care and consideration, our boarding house provides a nurturing environment for students aged 13 to 19. We assure their safety, comfort, and academic development throughout their educational journey. At the core of our boarding house is the “Home from Home” ethos, creating a warm and welcoming ambience that feels like a second family.

Our dedicated live-in House Parent provides unwavering support, acting as a mentor, guide, and friend to every student. They nurture our students both academically and personally, fostering a sense of belonging and nurturing cherished memories in the process.

Breakfast and dinner are included in our meal plan, provided seven days a week.

Breakfast and dinner are included in our meal plan, provided seven days a week. During the school week, students can enjoy lunch in school either by purchasing at the school’s Brew Pod Café, or food and beverage outlet in Hartamas Shopping Mall. Weekend lunches will depend on the activities students participate in and could be within the boarding house or off-site.

All boarders are encouraged to participate in the co-curricular activity programme provided by the school.

Our boarders take the lead in organising these activities, similar to our school clubs and societies. Community outreach forms a key part of our programme, with all boarders expected to dedicate some time to making a difference within our community.

Boarders travelling independently receive a welcome and departure service at all KL Airports and the KL Sentral train station.

This service includes a friendly greeting by a Charterhouse staff member, assistance with check-in at the airport or train station, and transport to and from the boarding house. Furthermore, Charterhouse Malaysia offers daily transportation to and from school.

House Parent

A resident Charterhouse staff member is always available to attend to the boarders’ needs and to offer care, support, and guidance, whether it be social, emotional, or academic.

Weekly Boarding

  • Weekly Boarding offers students the opportunity to reside in the Boarding House from Monday to Friday, facilitating focused learning during the week while allowing for cherished family time on weekends. The boarding fee covers transportation and meal plans, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for students.

Full Boarding

  • Full Boarding at Charterhouse Malaysia, a comprehensive week-long programme where students reside in the Boarding House throughout the entire week. With the flexibility to propose and engage in weekend activities, students take charge of their downtime, fostering independence and initiative. The Boarding Fee includes transportation and meal plan throughout the year.

Deposit

  • A refundable payment upon acceptance of offer. Deposit is refundable upon graduation or withdrawal with an advanced full academic term notice.

Tuition Fee

  • Application for students enrolled at the start of the academic year 2023/2024.
  • There are three (3) terms per academic year.
  • Charterhouse Malaysia offers a discount of 4% for the full advance payment of Tuition Fees.
  • The Annual Fees stated only applicable for the mentioned Academic Years.
  • Tuition Fees are payable prior to the first day of each academic term.
  • There will be a late payment penalty of 1.5% of amount due. – Fees above do not include costs for textbooks, uniforms, transportation (if any), external examination fees and other personal expenses

Carthusian Fee

  • The cost of uniforms, bus services, CCAs, School Trips, exam fees, and iPads/Laptops are not Including in this fee schedule. more details are available in the ‘parents and student handbook’.

Note

External Examination Charges, Trips, Category ‘B’ CCAs, Transportation and uniforms are not included in the tuition fee. they are at an additional cost and will be invoiced as appropriate.

Breakfast and dinner are included in our meal plan, provided seven days a week. The menu, developed in conjunction with external caterers, ensures a healthy and balanced diet that respects the cultural and religious requirements of our students.

During the school week, students can enjoy lunch at one of the many affordable, yet high-quality food and beverage outlets in the Hartamas Shopping Mall and surrounding precinct. Weekend lunches will depend on the activities students participate in and could be within the boarding house or off-site.

Boarding provides a level of independence, and students are encouraged to utilise their evenings and weekends for study, socialisation, communication with friends and family, and involvement in community projects, leisure and sport. Our resident staff are supported by the students’ House Tutor and subject teachers to ensure this newfound independence is manageable and each boarder can reach their full potential.
