A Level

Fostering Academic Excellence for Future Achievement

Overview

At Charterhouse, our A Level programme provides a challenging academic experience that combines traditional subjects with innovative approaches. Through the integration of the Spectra Smarts Framework and design thinking, students develop essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. We build on the strong foundations of IGCSE to ensure that our students can successfully develop their further knowledge, skills and understanding.

Our ‘linear’ assessment option offers flexibility for personalised teaching and individually focused preparation during Year 12. With exams at the end of Year 13, our dedicated educators have the freedom to design a programme that best suits the needs of their particular course and their current class of students. At Charterhouse, we strive to provide an enriching A Level curriculum that empowers students for future success.

Pathway to University

At Charterhouse, we believe in early preparation for university applications. In Year 12, we provide students with a range of opportunities to explore their options. From university fairs and subject-specific workshops to guidance from external professionals, we help students build their choice pathways.

Our dedicated Careers Development Officer and the Key Stage 5 tutoring programme offer valuable support. They assist students in creating their online profiles and crafting compelling personal statements for university entry.

At Charterhouse, we are committed to guiding our students on their journey to higher education, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed for a successful transition to university life.
