04

Step Four
Assessment & Interview

All applicants are required to undertake the CAT4 assessment. This cognitive assessment provides the school with valuable insight into a student’s learning profile and potential to succeed at Charterhouse Malaysia.

Applicants will also attend an interview with a member of the School Leadership Team. This is an opportunity for us to share our educational approach, ensure that expectations are clearly understood, and get to know both the student and parents. It also allows families to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the school.

Where CAT4 results indicate that English language proficiency may present a barrier to learning, a further diagnostic assessment of the student’s written English will be conducted. This helps us to ensure that appropriate support can be put in place so that every student can fully access the curriculum and thrive.

05

Step Five
Decision

Our decision on admittance is communicated in writing and orally (via telephone or in person) by the admissions team. If a student is offered a place at Charterhouse Malaysia, and this offer is accepted, then a non-refundable registration fee is required to be paid.
