At Charterhouse Malaysia, we are deeply committed to the wellbeing of our students. We understand the crucial role that mental health and overall wellbeing play in their development, and we prioritise providing comprehensive care and support. Our aim is to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered throughout their educational journey.
Central to our commitment is the provision of a full-time Counsellor who is readily available to offer guidance, support, and a safe space for students to express their concerns. We recognise the significance of their mental health and ensure they have access to professional assistance whenever needed. Additionally, our student-led Forum includes a dedicated Wellbeing team that organises activities and initiatives to promote positive mental health and foster connections among students.
Our comprehensive PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education) and Pastoral programme is specifically designed to cover a wide range of topics that support students’ personal growth, develop resilient mindsets, and enhance overall wellbeing. Led by our House Tutors, in collaboration with Key Stage Leaders, the Head of Future Pathways, the School Counsellor, and the Deputy Head of Student Development, this programme addresses important areas such as emotional wellbeing, relationships, self-esteem, mental health awareness, and personal safety. We also invite external providers to deliver talks and workshops, enriching the programme with expert insights and perspectives.
Peer Support and Community
At Charterhouse Malaysia, we foster a culture of empathy, kindness, and support. We empower our students to actively look out for one another, promoting a strong sense of community and compassion. Through peer support initiatives and encouraging students to prioritise the wellbeing of their peers, we create an inclusive environment that nurtures their mental health.
We also recognise the importance of staff wellbeing. Our dedicated Wellbeing Committee oversees the welfare of our teachers and administration team, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to thrive both personally and professionally.
By prioritising student wellbeing and providing comprehensive support systems, we create a foundation for their success and happiness. At Charterhouse Malaysia, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where students can flourish and reach their full potential.
