Overview

At Charterhouse Malaysia, we place great importance on the well-being and personal development of our students. Our dedicated House Tutors and comprehensive pastoral care programme are central to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our students to thrive.

The Role of House Tutors

Each student at Charterhouse Malaysia is assigned a dedicated House Tutor who plays a vital role in their academic and personal growth. House Tutors serve as a primary point of contact for students, offering guidance, support, and a listening ear. They are responsible for addressing any academic or pastoral concerns, ensuring that every student feels supported and valued.

Our House Tutors are highly trained professionals who actively monitor and support the well-being of their assigned students. They work closely with the Deputy Head (Student Development), Key Stage Leaders, the Head of Future Pathways, the School Counsellor, and other relevant staff members to deliver a holistic pastoral care program.

Comprehensive Pastoral Care

Our comprehensive pastoral care program prioritizes students’ holistic well-being and personal growth. House Tutors actively guide and support students in various aspects of their lives, fostering emotional well-being, positive social interactions, and overall development. They create a nurturing and inclusive environment, empowering students to thrive and excel with unwavering support.

Regular sessions cover essential topics such as personal development, mental health, resilience, and building positive relationships, equipping students with vital life skills and a growth mindset. House Tutors also work closely with students on their Learner’s Portfolio, collaborating with the wider pastoral team to ensure access to necessary support and resources.

Creating a Supportive Community

We foster a supportive and responsible school community where House Tutors actively promote kindness, empathy, and a sense of belonging among students. Peer support and collaborative projects build lasting friendships and create a positive school environment. Our House Tutors and comprehensive pastoral care programme prioritise the well-being and personal development of our students, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
